I’m a huge fan of great-sounding headphones … and a bigger fan of Skullcandy, a company that has been designing innovative headphones since 2010. My new favorite pair of headphones: the Hesh 3 Wireless Over-Ear Headphones, highlighted by great sound courtesy of the custom-tuned 40mm drivers. A micro USB charging cable and a 3.5mm audio cable connect to the right earcup. There’s no tote or case, though the earcups swivel and fold down into a compact size for easy carrying.
Connecting the included audio cable down powers the headphones down, allowing you to use the Hesh 3 in passive mode. The right earcup also houses onboard (three button) controls. The central button controls playback, call management, and summons voice controls, while the plus and minus buttons handle volume and track navigation.
The comfortable earpads block out a substantial amount of ambient noise passively, so you can enjoy peaceful music without outside distractions.
