Editor’s Choice: PhotoSpring 10 Digital Photo Frame

When digital cameras exploded in popularity two decades ago, digital photo frames also became ubiquitous. But as iPads, laptops and tablets were introduced to the market, digital photo frames waned in popularity and often wound up deeply discounted. These earlier generations of digital photo frames were often hard to set up and clunky.

All that has changed with the release of the new PhotoSpring 10, a sharp-looking digital photo frame that can be displayed with a traditional look or with a more modern look by removing the frame molding. The PhotoSpring 10 is chock full of great features and I’m finally excited about digital photo frames again.

Let’s start with its elegant 10-inch touchscreen (featuring a crisp 1280×800 resolution), WiFi, and 16GB internal memory, which holds roughly 10,000 photos.

Setup is a snap: (1) Connect WiFi; (2) Answer a few basic questions on the touchscreen; and (3) Start sending your photos and videos. Users can send photos and videos via email, app or web browser, and photos will appear in seconds.

PhotoSpring is easy to use and versatile. Pick it up to browse photos and videos like a photo album. Place it in its stand to display photos like a digital picture frame. The touchscreen and battery make it portable and easy to use. Just tap and swipe the screen to view photos, create albums and more. Besides photos, you can also enjoy videos up to 1GB in file size (approximately 5 min for 1080p video).

Some extras I really appreciate:
• The introduction of an “audio out jack” to connect earphone or external speakers
• A new SD card slot that will let users import photos from a digital camera’s SD card
• A new USB port that will let users backup/export their entire collection on a USB flash drive

And to add icing to the cake, the PhotoSpring has no hidden fees and includes cloud backup and an extended 3-year warranty for peace of mind,

A premium edition is also available, which includes a rechargeable 3000mAh lithium-ion battery that lasts over 4 hours, making it the ultimate digital photo album to bring on the road or pass around at home. This may be my favorite feature … I’ve been searching for a quality rechargeable digital photo frame for months.

The PhotoSpring 10 Frame is available for $159 on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S998HFK and the Premium edition retails for $179 at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S93RXWX?th=1. Thanks to PhotoSpring, I’m thrilled to be a digital photo frame user again.
