LiveWire S2 Del Mar Electric Motorcycle

Reservations being taken for 100 Launch Edition bikes

Harley-Davidson sub-brand LiveWire took the wraps off its second all-electric motorcycle, the S2 Del Mar. The new electric urban street tracker follows in the wake of the flagship LIveWire One model.

At the time of the bike’s unveiling, LiveWire began taking reservations at livewire.com on a 100-unit run of $17,699 Launch Edition S2 Del Mar bikes that will be built to order, with delivery expected in spring 2023. The Launch Edition run sold out in just 18 minutes. A production model of the bike is set to follow at a targeted MSRP of $15,000.

Weighing in at under 440 pounds, the S2 Del Mar has targeted output of 80 hp/59.6kW to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds or less. LiveWire puts city riding range at 100 miles on a single charge.

The S2 Del Mar is the first bike to feature LiveWire’s S2 Arrow architecture, combining the battery pack, electronics, and motor into a streamlined package using fewer parts. Designed at LiveWire Labs in California’s Silicon Valley, the architecture is said to be scalable for future model configurations, representing an efficient way to get new models to market quickly.
