I picked up on David’s groove back in 2004 on a visit to H-Town while his two-piece band The Dead Exs were carving a name for themselves. They had a niche going that catapulted David to where he is today. It was weird seeing a drummer and guitarist take the stage alone. There was an emptiness surrounded by a ton of inexperience. Even with the raw energy there was something amiss. Roll the clocks forward…. My how times have changed!
