The Great “Harry Houdini” entered another realm on Halloween.

October 31, 1926, would be his last day on earth.

Harry Houdini made a life out of cheating death. His greatest feat was achieving it for it immortalized him. Houdini died on this day in 1926 after falling ill.

He spent his life trying to eradicate the belief in the afterlife. He was obsessed with doing so.

“No prison can hold me; no hand or leg irons or steel locks can shackle me. No ropes or chains can keep me from my freedom.” _ Harry Houdini

Happy Halloween! :0)

Houdini’s wife Bev carried on séances for ten years after his death in attempts to reach him. One successful attempt was in question 2 years after his death when Arthur Ford performed the séance. Arthur told Bev about the secret message Harry and she had discussed should he pass. She never accepted that Arthur received that message spiritually but had no proof otherwise. The message was “Rosabelle Believe.”

Have a safe and Happy Halloween!

He disproved doubters time and again. From 300 German police officers to judges in courthouse hearings, Harry Houdini performed without hesitation, escaping from the bars, chains, and locks of bondage every time. In his words…

My Brain is the key that sets me free.” _Harry Houdini
