This is a time of great celebration and tribute for one of the world’s brightest subcultures. Today, we are going to join in, as one, with my many friends in this culture and celebrate also. Does that sound difficult? It shouldn’t be. We are the most intelligent creatures on the face of this earth and should act accordingly.

Whether it’s Christmas, Hanukah, Ramadan, The Lunar New Year, or any other of the many festivities that go on throughout the year, we should be willing to respect each other’s right to happiness and when possible, join in it!

Sabah Ahmedi understands embracing “others” celebrations –“I think people believe that because we’re Muslim, we don’t like Christmas films or festive music, but it’s quite the opposite. A lot of us are born here, and participate in activities as kids, and Christmas culture gets instilled into us. We just put our spin on it.”

We are a Country built on the foundation of “Oneness.” It’s this trait that has propelled us to become a great Country. Let us embrace it throughout the year.
