Man, are you all going to love this one! It’ll get your blood pumping! ;0)

Across The Board has recreated the “Great American Race” with the release of their fist-pumping, dice-popping, card-flopping board game NASCAR!

First things first: Being a Carpenter by trade for many years, I want to give a shout-out to the Craftsmen who put this track together! It looks to be done in a Maple and is simply exquisite to the eye! Great Job to all those at Across the Board for showing “the love” in the work you all put forth!

Pay Close Attention! Brigade’s Rules!

The set up: 11 Cars (2-12) start the race. Toss the Jokers, Aces, and Kings out of the deck. Deal the rest of the cards out to whoever is playing. You can play up to 12 players before you’d need to add a 2nd deck. the cards only matter when their number is rolled on the dice. This is an absolutely stupendous party game that accumulates nice pots of “Cough, cough” Tokens. You can pass the dice or designate a roller for each game. I like the designation option as it tends to speed things up a bit. Note: If you use a designated roller, said roller will not receive cards.

A Closer Look at the Disqualified Spots.

The Pace Lap: On the first roll the car that matches the roll gets disqualified! All Players that are holding a card that matches that car number throw 25 tokens in the pot. On the 2nd roll the same thing only this time if you have the card that matches the disqualified car you throw in 50 tokens! If you happen to have all 4 matching cards you will have to throw in 200 tokens! Repeat & Rinse for the 3rd roll and you throw in 75 tokens for each matching card you hold. On the 4th roll, all matching cards to the disqualified car put in 100 tokens each. The game opens up with 1000 Tokens in the pot!

The Green Flag- As a car’s number is rolled the car moves one space. The creators used Statistics in the design of the game so all cars have a fair shake at winning. If the roller tosses the number of a disqualified car whoever is holding those cards has to pay in the same amount they did at the games start for that car. Every time the roller lands on a disqualified car it costs him 25 tokens.

Brigade’s Bonus- If the roller reels off 7 in a row without hitting a DQ’d car he wins 40% of the pot at the game’s end! The roller does “not receive cards at the beginning of the game!

A tussle between the “intuitive” and the “Hot” rollers!

The Winners- Whoever holds the cards of the winning car gets 25% of the pot for each card they hold. If Brigade’s Bonus is achieved that number drops to 15%

Options- There are many options you can add to the game. One of those is “Full Tank” where all cards in the deck play with the Jokers, Aces, and Kings remaining in the deck. Every time a DQ’d car is rolled the holders of these cards pay 25 tokens into a separate pot that accumulates throughout the night. Every player picks 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes prior to the first race. If your picks come through in any race throughout the night you win the Bonus Pot. You can always play by the game rules or make your own! Ours’ aren’t concrete by any means but they’re a blast! ;o)

Price: $140.00

Across The Board did a fantastic job in creating a game that is fun and fair for all! It’s an adrenaline rush for sure. No getting teamed up on like Risk! No back alley deals like Monopoly! The Knuckle Bones don’t lie and neither does the Stack! If you have to break out a 2nd deck as Pesci would say “Forget about it!” ;0)
