Rob (my 2nd eldest son) and I started the night with a bit of optimism as we opened the BARK & BARWARE case. We started exploring it and tried to guess what every piece in the set would do. After a few minutes of mulling it over we watched a video, and then took inventory of our liquor cabinet. Behind some minis, a Pinot and a Moscato we found a bottle of REDBREAST SINGLE POT STILL Irish Whiskey. Jackpot! He and I had no idea where the bottle had come from or how good it was for that matter (We found out later that it was a gift from a vendor that his wife had acquired two Christmases ago that went for $144).
After picking up my youngest son Blitz (In from college) and returning to the house to eat dinner, Rob and I decided to break out the BARK & BARWARE for real. The first glass of whiskey we smoked with cherrywood chips. We burnt the chips for 20 seconds and let them smolder for another 15 seconds. The whiskey tasted like a strong… wood! :0) As the night went on we toned it down a bit while passing the glass around to see who would become the greatest Mixologist our neck of the woods had ever seen! :0)

Needless to say, our night turned into one of fun, laughter, and a few eye-squinching headshakes’ along with a little barking!
The site had recipes way better than anything we mixed! This caused us to purchase 2 bottles of Roscato and a bottle of Grand Marnier a few nights later!
The BARK & BARWARE set is a well-thought-out option for smoking drinks that has brought family & friends together twice now. That alone makes it a great purchase!
