The KG162 is like a little brother to the to the KC100.9 in that it is geared more towards the homeowner than commercial use. With that said, it’s build is a thing of beauty! The carbon fiber shaft and quick-load aluminum head have this baby weighing in at a mere 6.88lbs! It gives you a dual line cut with a bump and feed head so it makes quick work of your weekly trimming! It is also variable speed and has an ECO setting which conserves on the 2.5ah battery that comes with the price. The charger is also included. This trimmer has more than enough power to make light work of any yard.

My take: When I tested the KC100.9 I immediately put the trimmer back in the box, went inside, and put my boots on (I was wearing slides)! :0) My side yard looked like it had cancer after one minute of using it! I had ripped crop circles 16.5″ in circumference in three places with dirt flying everywhere (I failed keeping it level and it made me pay). :0) It’s that powerful! So, I broke out the KG162 and it was a little bit more my speed. :0) I finished edging and trimming a corner lot in less than 10 minutes (probably 7 or 8 tbh). I have since trimmed my yard two other times and the battery has only lost one of the 5 LED lights! The KG162 is the way to go for all homeowners. It has a great price point for the quality of the tool. As I get more into the Commercial Line I’ll give you all some better feedback. As of now all I can say is that it’d be a great option for stopping home Invasions! :0)
