It’s one thing to imitate your influencers. It’s the greatest honor to join their hallowed ground!

In the lores of music there was once a group called “The Band.” Some may remember them from their outstanding performance of their live concert “The Last Waltz.” This is not “The Band” though it will, one day, rest in the same halls that Garth, Levon, Robbie and the rest of the fabled group calls home if they choose to put the “whole” before the “sum.” Very few people in this world will ever create such an opportunity; Yet, this is exactly what “Lawrence the Band” has done for themselves. I pray they embrace this opportunity, every single one of them!

This is Lawrences’ first single, “Probably Up” followed by “Make A Move” and “Heartburn” What a way to get the ball rolling!
My girl is off the chain in this one! The entire band is flat gettin’ it! Reminds me of some “Wild Cherry!” I’m a fan!
4 songs here so go mix up some brownies! Any kind you want! :0) More, Casualty, Make A Move, The Heartburn Song
You all know how much I love “Johnnyswim” and the “Teskey Brothers”, right? “Lawrence the Band” just joined that list! Listen up! These kids are absolutely phenomenal!
Here’s a little of that “Manhattan Transfer” sound. I love it!

As a first-time listener of their music, I couldn’t help but pick up on a few of their influences. The mix of the Manhattan Transfer, Wild Cherry, The Ohio Players, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and The Blues Brothers comes to mind. I can’t wait to get them on the phone for a little Q&A!
