Physical Phone Keyboards Are Making a Comeback!

Unihertz has introduced its newest smartphone, the Titan 2 Elite, a device designed for people who prefer using a physical keyboard instead of a touchscreen. The Titan 2 Elite has a classic physical keyboard with modern smartphone features, bringing back old-school typing.

Compared to most smartphones today, the Titan 2 Elite allows users to type with real buttons rather than a touchscreen. The keyboard is backlit, making it easier to use in low-light settings, and it also supports customizable shortcuts for quicker access to apps and functions. In addition, the keyboard can be used like a trackpad, allowing users to scroll through apps and web pages without touching the screen.

The Titan 2 Elite features a 4.03-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Titan 2 Elite includes a Dimensity 7400 processor, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. There is a Titan 2 Elite Pro with a Dimensity 8400 processor and 512 GB of storage. Both versions run on Android 16 and are available in black and orange.

The phone features dual 50-megapixel cameras, including a telephoto lens for zoomed-in shots. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Other features of the Titan 2 Elite include 5G connectivity and dual SIM support. The phone also supports fast charging, helping users quickly power up when needed.

The Titan 2 Elite shows that there is still interest in smartphones with physical keyboards. By combining this classic feature with modern technology like 5G and updated software. The Titan 2 Elite brings back what many phone companies got rid of and what customers are demanding.

Currently, Titan 2 Elite and Elite Pro are available for pre-order on Kickstarter with early bird prices starting at $389 and $479 for the Pro model.
