World’s First RPU-Powered Wi-Fi Router

WavKong has announced the release of the WAVKONG V2700, a new Wi-Fi router designed to improve signal quality and provide consistent connectivity throughout the home. The device introduces a different approach to wireless networking by focusing on signal clarity rather than simply increasing speed or adding multiple units.

The WAVKONG V2700 is powered by a proprietary Radio Processing Unit (RPU), a dedicated chip that enhances Wi-Fi signals before transmission. This technology uses digital pre-distortion methods commonly found in cellular and satellite systems to correct signal interference in real time. As a result, the router aims to deliver stronger and more stable connections over longer distances and through obstacles such as walls and floors.

Designed for residential use, the WAVKONG V2700 supports Wi-Fi 6 (AX3000) and operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The router also features multiple antennas to ensure reliable connectivity for multiple devices in the household.

One of the key features of the WAVKONG V2700 is its ability to provide wide coverage using a single device. According to the company, the router can deliver Wi-Fi coverage across large, multi-floor homes without requiring additional mesh units. Internal testing suggests the device can achieve improved performance at mid- to long-range distances.

The WAVKONG V2700 is designed to address common user frustrations such as dead zones, inconsistent speeds, and dropped connections. Instead of relying on multiple routers or extenders, the product focuses on improving the signal quality itself. Additional features include support for modern security protocols, parental controls, and network management tools accessible through a web interface.
