While the 40V 17″ Cordless Lawn Mower & 20V GT 3.0 12″ Cordless String Trimmer/Wheeled Edger Combo Kit by WORX is a bit on the light side concerning lawn equipment, it has delivered a quality lawn these past 3 months with a system that provided enough power and ease-of-use throughout testing.
The Mower
The Summer months here in Texas are grueling as the rains and heat provide the perfect atmosphere for rapid lawn growth. I cut my lawn every 4 days throughout the 3 months and edged every 8. The WG743 mower runs off two 20v 4Ah batteries that come with a dual charger.
I live on a corner lot and could complete a cut on one charge. The mower provides 7 cutting height positions which are set by one lever at the front left wheel. I cut my lawn on a “4” setting on the four-day cutting cycle. If I missed the schedule, I’d cut at a “5” so that the batteries wouldn’t wear down, then work back to a four the next cut. The mower is not self-propelled but is light enough to maneuver with ease! As you get older you tend to appreciate quality lightweight equipment! :0)

The Trimmer
As single-line trimmers go the WG163 is something special. It easily transforms into a dual-wheeled edger due to an ingenious design!
The weed-eating takes a few minutes longer than a dual-string trimmer but my edging has never looked so good! :0)
I’ll be keeping this set for the house as it is just the perfect storm for my situation. Lightweight, maneuverable, and built with the WORX quality and innovation that I’ve come to know over the years.
