HOVERAir, known for its AI flight drones, has a collection called HOVERAir AQUA. This AI flight drone is the first of its kind, allowing users to use it for water activities. The HOVERAir AQUA is a 100% waterproof self-flying camera, so users no longer have to worry about their drone getting splashed or even landing in water.
The HOVERAir AQUA captures footage while users are surfing, paddleboarding, or snorkeling. The device includes 15 automated flight modes, such as snorkel, mount, and follow, making it easier to capture footage that would otherwise be difficult to record. Users can preview their footage on the 1.6-inch AMOLED display while in handheld or snorkel mode. The drone also features a turtle flip function that automatically flips the device if it lands upside down.
The HOVERAir AQUA also comes with multiple accessories, including LIGHTHOUSE and Beacon & Joysticks. LIGHTHOUSE is a device worn around the user’s arm that allows control with a single button click. This device lets users switch flight modes, take off, and return the drone home. The HOVERAir AQUA recognizes the LIGHTHOUSE, making it easier for the drone to track users from a distance. The Beacon & Joysticks accessory allows users to manually control the drone in manual mode. Here are some key features of the HOVERAir AQUA:
- 4K/100 fps slow-motion camera, a 1/1.28” CMOS sensor, and a hydrophobic lens, HDR, 10-bit H-Log, Smooth Capture 3.0
- 128GB of Storage
- 202x206x64mm (L x W x H)
- 23 minutes of flight time (150 minutes of mount mode) and a maximum tracking speed of 55 kmh/34mph
- Level 7 wind resistance
- Taking off/landing in water
- Precision tracking RTK (Real-Time Kinematics) and CV (Computer Vision)
The HOVERAir AQUA is not currently available on the company’s website, but it is available to individuals who backed the project on Indiegogo in August 2025. For those who supported the campaign, HOVERAir is currently shipping batches of the units.
