Hillarious-Instant-Entertainment!

So upon receiving this game I looked at it and pondered how the hell I was going to do a review on it. This flimsy, inexpensive, Mattel-quality game whose components will most likely be the dog’s chew toy by week’s end had no place on Gear Brigade!

Fast forward a few days. My roommates and I are sitting around waiting for the baked ziti to, well, bake. :0) So I decided to pull Pop Darts out and give it a whirl! The table was already cleared so we set the marker and began tossing darts. We were rubbing the darts, dipping them in beer, and doing basically whatever superstitious insane technique we could muster up in hopes of winning.

We made up our own scoring system based on the distance of the throw as much as it was the one closest to the marker. If you hit from behind the couch and were closest it was a “3-pointer.” In front of the couch up to the island was a “two-pointer.” We played “winners only” so no other Dart except the closest one scored. We played games to 21 and began to rotate between the three of us at an accelerated pace due to gaining experience.

As we carried our Ziti around in bowls, we continued taking shots and would occasionally set the bowl down to take a drink or maybe it was setting the drink down to take a bite. Whatever the case, this was a week and a half ago and the darts remain the centerpiece on the dining room table. As weird as it seems we tend to play near dinnertime! Understand that if you have a wife you might not get away with our antics. I can hear it already… “No Pop Darts at the dinner table!” :0)
